The new health food delivery company entered the competition at Hello Work, Old Granada Studios, as part of the Small Business Saturday bus tour. The bus is on a nationwide roadshow to promote the third annual Small Business Saturday, taking place on 5th December. The initiative celebrates and promotes Britain’s independent businesses and encourages UK shoppers to buy locally to support their high street and small businesses.
Workspace provider, Hello Work, supported the tour on its Manchester pit stop, hosting the business bus and running free workshops, networking events, and competitions.
Project Simply, a leading creative digital marketing agency, supplied the prize and will work with Nuba Health to provide £1000 worth of creative, design, digital and e-commerce services to enhance its online offering.
Nuba Health has been trading for three months and delivers freshly prepared, healthy lunches straight to city centre offices and homes. The menu follows the principles of the Paleo diet, so customers select their protein, side and sauce, each with a breakdown of calories and nutritional values, to create tailor made meals.
The company founder, Hannah Osman, exhibited at Hello Work for the Small Business Saturday bus tour, and entered the competition on the day. She says:
“I had a stand at Hello Work for the Small Business Saturday bus tour as I’m keen to meet other Manchester entrepreneurs and share experiences. I was so excited when they announced I had won the competition and the design work is something I definitely need to communicate my brand messaging more effectively and improve the customer user experience online.”
Tanya Grady from Hello Work says: “Small Business Saturday is a fantastic initiative and we were were thrilled to host the team as part of the bus tour. It was a really successful day and we attracted hundreds of entrepreneurs and start-ups. Congratulations to Nuba Health on winning the creative funding competition – the business is a great concept and one that we know will be popular among the city’s health conscious residents and workers.”
Hello Work hosts regular events at the Old Granada Studios in Manchester city center aimed to support and nurture local enterprise and start-up businesses.
