Feeling under the weather on Shrove Tuesday? Try the 'MANCAKE'!

NORTH WEST firm MANFLU has unveiled the perfect winter-nasty-fighting PANCAKE for today’s Shrove Tuesday.

Wellbeing expert Jonathan Evans, founder of the Newton-le-Willows-based supplements company, has come up with a vitamin-rich recipe to satisfy your sweet tooth and soothe you in your hour of need.

The baddie-busting formula includes bananas, raw honey and cinnamon and is packed full of fortifying vitamins.

Dubbed the ‘MANCAKE’, Evans reckons it’s perfect for any British blokes struggling to keep their pecker up as we head towards this weekend’s Valentine’s Day.

He says: “Firstly, you need a banana. Make sure you mash this right down before mixing it in with two whole eggs. Bananas contain vitamin B6 giving you that bit of energy, essential in your time of need.

“Then you pop in some honey and cinnamon, to give the pancake added flavour, comfort and a good kick!”

Honey and cinnamon have traditionally been used to treat seasonal ailments for generations.

Both are thought to hold anti-bacterial properties, which help when a person is feeling under the weather and can often reduce the length of a bout of unpleasantness.

To finish off the perfect pancake, Evans also suggests adding some plain flour to thicken the mixture before setting a frying pan on a medium heat and cooking each side until golden brown.

And while it’s common for pancakes to be drizzled with lemon and sprinkled with sugar, Evans says dribbling their MANFLU ‘Hot or Shot’ vitamin C drink over the top of it will see you feeling flipping good again in no time.

He adds: “This lemon, lime and honey flavoured drink is packed full of vitamin C and zinc which both have health benefits.

“In fact, Hot or Shot contains the same amount of vitamin C as around 12 oranges. And, even more importantly, it tastes great too.”
