Delifonseca prepares Father's Day feast that is fit for a king

Delifonseca prepares Father's Day feast that is fit for a king

With Father’s Day around the corner, Delifonseca Dockside is set to serve a fine Father's Day feast.

On Sunday, June 15, the multi-award winning eatery will cater for dads, granddads and uncles alike by providing an array of culinary wonders.

In hopes of pleasing a variety of palates (but most of all dads) the three-course set menu, devised by head chef Martin Cooper, features a wide range of choice across each course.

Proprietor Candice Fonseca said: "Father’s Day is all about truly spoiling the special men in your life. It is the perfect excuse to spend quality time with family members - and what better way to do so than with some delicious food and drink? We’ve designed a three course set menu with options tailored to the more masculine palate – even the desserts!"

On arrival, guests can choose from a selection of quirky starters such as Pork, Bury Black Pudding and Apple Terrine with Homemade ‘Daddy’s’ Sauce, Spicy Thai Fishcakes served with Capsicana Sweet Chilli Dipping Sauce and Asian Coleslaw and Red Onion Marmalade and ‘Blacksticks Blue’ Cheese Tartlet with Rocket and Watercress Salad.

The main course star of the show is a Delifonseca Mixed Grill served with  Homemade Daddy’s Sauce although diners can also enjoy  Salmon en Croûte or  Kalamata Olive and Potato Cake served with Courgette and Basil Purée, Tomato and Aubergine Fondant and for traditionalists a Delifonseca Roast dinner.

To add to the sheer indulgence of the day, diners can then select from an assortment of tempting desserts including Chocolate Guinness Cake served with Cheshire Farm Clotted Cream Ice Cream, Strawberry Eton Mess and Peanut Butter Crème Brûlée.

Candice added: "Our aim is to combine fine food with a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, in order to make this special day even more enjoyable and highly memorable for our guests."

The Father’s Day set menu is available on Sunday, June 15 and is priced at £24.95 per person.

Limited tables remain, therefore booking is essential. A non-refundable £10 deposit per person is required and a discretionary 10% service charge will be added to parties of 6 or more. Reservations can be made by calling 0151 255 0808.
