Independent bistro has put together a first class menu for the city’s graduates
Graduating from university is one of the most significant milestones in a person’s life. It’s only fitting that after the hurrah of the ceremony and all those photographs, you allow your parents to treat you to a meal in one of Liverpool’s best restaurants.
Bretta&Co. the independent deli and bistro just off Bold Street, has put together a special Graduation menu in honour of all the graduates from the city’s four universities. Choose from three courses for £30 with a glass of bubbly thrown in, and indulge in the delicious food at the bistro
The Graduation menu, devised by head chef Shaun Doyle, features starters such as Pea and Ham Hock terrine with pistachio walnut soil or handmade Salmon and Hake fishcake, served on a bed on spinach and kale, with a beur blanc sauce and poached egg.
Guests will then be able to choose a main dish from a list including Salmon cooked with rose wine on a bed of summer slaw, with a tangy citrus aioli or Chicken ballotine, served with fondant potatoes and summer vegetables, with a luxurious Forestiere sauce.
If you still have room for dessert you can finish up your meal with poached pear in a warm red wine sauce, served with homemade ice cream, lime and coconut cheesecake with an almond brandy snap basket, or a light chocolate brownie served with summer fruits and chocolate mousse.
