The popular venue has been significantly refurbished throughout to create the ideal dining destination, whatever the time of day or occasion.
The revamped venue at The Pipeworks reopened on Wednesday 14 August where the celebrations began and continued throughout the weekend, with a circus-themed launch event and acoustic evening. The Tall Chimney Hungry Horse team also welcomed the Chairman of the South Derbyshire District Council, Councillor David Muller, to try out the new facilities.
Michelle Sunman, general manager at the Tall Chimney Hungry Horse, said: “We’ve had a fantastic time celebrating the reopening and our Swadlincote neighbours really came out to support us. Our guests are at the heart of what we do, so it was great to be able to mark the reopening with the local community.
“It was a pleasure to welcome the Chairman of the South Derbyshire District Council, Councillor David Muller, to enjoy the new offering too – they really helped to kick off the festivities. We’ve already had great feedback on the revamped interior, the team and I can’t wait to welcome new and returning visitors to the Tall Chimney Hungry Horse very soon!
“This summer we’re celebrating the Great British Pub, and are excited to be home to a Burger Festival across the season. With five delicious burgers to choose from, guests will be spoilt for choice, especially on a Friday when you can enjoy buy one get one free burgers. The team and I can’t wait to welcome new and returning visitors to the Tall Chimney Hungry Horse very soon!”
In addition to the new summer options, the new look pub will offer a range of great value food and drinks deals for locals to enjoy throughout the week, including bottles of El Mazo wine for £5 on Wednesdays, curry and a drink for £5.50 on Wednesdays, two selected favourites for £12 on Sundays and Family Bundles for £15 all week.
