Bury St Edmunds pub reopens with a fresh new look


The Spread Eagle Greene King pub reopened on Thursday 15 August following a six-figure refurbishment.

As part of the investment, the Spread Eagle on Out Westgate, which is owned by Greene King, has undergone a total refurbishment, including the introduction of a lighter colour scheme which incorporates tiled walls, signature pieces of furniture and fresh, contemporary flooring.

 

The bar has also been completely refurbished, with the introduction of a wider selection of local and national ales, plus world beers. Guests can also enjoy and an updated beer garden, which includes new lighting and extensive seating.

 

Abbi King , general manager at the Spread Eagle, said: “The Spread Eagle is at the heart of the Bury St Edmunds community, so we are excited to be able to offer a place where locals can enjoy a drink or meal in enhanced surroundings.

 

“The opening was a real success, with great feedback from guests on the delicious menu and fantastic interior. We look forward to welcoming more guests in the coming weeks!”

 

Guests can enjoy two meals for £11.49  all day Monday-Saturday, including favourites such as Beef Yorkie Wrap, Peppered Mushroom Pie and Cod and Chips. A delicious all-day roast is also available on Sundays, served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, mashed potato, sage and onion stuffing, a Yorkshire pudding and gravy. The Spread Eagle also offers a wide selection of drink deals, such as two bottles of beer for £6 and refreshing cocktails from £4.99.
